Convert PNG to JPG Locally
Convert PNG graphics into universally compatible JPG photos. Pixora automatically fills transparent areas with clean white (or your chosen background color) to eliminate black alpha artifacts.
Why Convert PNG to JPG?
Universal Software Compatibility
JPEG opens seamlessly in every legacy image viewer, office suite, and printing service.
Smaller File Size for Dense Images
For complex graphics without flat areas, lossy JPEG compression often creates much smaller files than PNG.
Cleaner Background Composition
Pixora composites transparent pixels over a solid color, preventing accidental black borders.
Crucial Technical Fact on Transparency
The JPEG standard DOES NOT support alpha transparency channels. When converting transparent PNG files to JPG, transparent areas are permanently composited over a solid color (white by default, or your custom selection).
How It Works in 3 Steps
Choose PNG Files
Drop your PNG files into the converter area.
Select Background Fill
Keep the clean white default or select a custom background color.
Download JPG Images
Download your converted JPEG files or export as ZIP.
Conversion FAQs
Why does my transparent PNG background turn white in JPG?
The JPEG specification has no concept of alpha transparency. Pixora composites the image over clean white to prevent the browser from defaulting to black.
Can I choose a different background color instead of white?
Yes! Use the Background Fill color picker in the settings bar to choose any color before converting.
Are my images sent to any server?
No. The entire compositing and JPEG encoding occurs locally on your machine.
